If you thought the Skygate precinct couldn’t cater for an epic boys’ day out, think again.

Whether your crew are fitness fanatics, golf enthusiasts, or simply seeking a pit-stop to sink a few cold ones between flights, Skygate has everything you need to keep the gang entertained for hours.

With a Golf Central, 24/7 gym, casual dining precinct, sports tavern, and over 160 speciality retailers and services in one multi-purpose precinct, make it a boy’s day out to remember at Skygate with this handy guide.

1.    Pump up your morning

Arrive early and start the day with a heart pumping workout at Jetts Fitness (open 24-hours)

With free passes available for new members or multi-access passes for existing members, warm up with some banter before challenging each other to a high intensity workout.

Up the ante with a wager – the bloke with the finest form gets first dibs on their preferred golf buddy, while the worst form pays for the first round of lunch time pints.

After pumping weights, head to Golf Central for a round or book a Toptracer Play Bay for up to six people and take your golfing game to the next level at the Toptracer Driving Range where a $45 food and beverage credit will have your mid-morning snacks sorted.

2.    Say yes to gent-friendly shopping

Following an action-packed morning, slow things down a notch with some gent-friendly retail therapy.

First up is Wild Earth in the Skygate Home & Life Centre, where you can stock up on a range of camping, hiking and outdoor clothing and gear for your next boys’ trip.

If the crew has a range of tastes and one shop alone can’t satisfy, don’t stress – DFO is a shopping Mecca with over 160 specialty retailers under one roof.

With several stores including 2XU, Calvin Klein, Polo Ralph Lauren, Rodd & Gunn, Shaver Shop, Politix and Ringers Western, there is something to satisfy everyone (your most discerning mate included).

3.    Refuel at Skygate Dining

Re-fuel the tank, Skygate-style with a bite to eat.

Book a table at Transit Tavern - home of cold beers, live-streamed sport, and daily chef and drink specials.

For more relaxed dining options, you can’t go past Burger Urge for the classic combo of super-stacked burgers and thirst-quenching beers or Burrito Bar for sizzling fajitas, delicious burritos, and zesty margaritas.

4.    Embrace some self-care

Gone are the days where self-care was reserved for the ladies in your life.

Destress, relax, and unwind in the afternoon with a remedial or sports massage at Chi Link Massage and Beauty Centre, perfect for soothing sore muscles after a morning on the green.

If you’re rocking an unruly mane (or beard) in serious need of some good, old-fashioned TLC, then be sure to visit Anton Steele Hair whose specialist barber services include fading, straight razors shaves, and hot towel treatments.

5.    Stock up on the essentials

All good things must come to an end, but that doesn’t mean the good times have to.

Pick up some kick ons at  Dan Murphy’s and stock up on take-home bevvies or snacks at Queensland’s only 24/7 Woolworths before heading home.
